The breakfasts included homemade yoghurt and delicious oat pots, creating a perfect start to the day. Our comfortable double room was impeccably clean, with intuitive shower controls providing hot water instantly. the compact stargazer room felt a bit cramped and lacked room service, which would have added convenience. while the staff was friendly, the lack of recognition for our anniversary felt like a missed opportunity for a thoughtful gesture.

The Deluxe King Room with Mountain View was fantastic! Super cozy bed and a beautiful, clean bathroom. The views were breathtaking, definitely the highlight of the room. There was enough storage for our luggage too. Only downside was the stairs to get there—quite a workout! it was a wonderful experience, but just be ready for some stair climbing!

I recently enjoyed a stay in a Cozy Room at the Victorian House Bed & Breakfast. The room had beautiful decor, making it feel charming and inviting. The bed was quite comfortable, ensuring great sleep each night. I loved the garden area. it was perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The breakfast options were impressive, especially the homemade pastries that stood out. I did face a few issues. My initial room did not have heating in the bathroom, which left towels damp. some furniture in the common areas seemed worn out, detracting from the overall experience. The location was lovely, but the signage for navigating around the hotel could definitely be improved. Friendly staff were always on hand, which added a warm touch to my stay. Having a pet-friendly environment, albeit with a hefty cleaning fee, was a plus, but I expected more cleanliness for that price. Despite the hiccups, I left with fond memories of my time there.

Perfect for a Family Trip
We had an upgrade upon arrival, which was a nice surprise. The breakfast in the garden conservatory was a delight. The staff made sure my little girl got her scrambled eggs fit for a princess, and that was the icing on the cake for us.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but that’s to be expected.

Perfect stay with our pup
We enjoyed our stay for one night. The room was perfect for our big Weimaraner, super comfy bed, and amazing shower. Loved the beautiful views of the hills too! Breakfast was good, tho could've used a bit more variety. Staff was friendly and let us chill in the breakfast room longer, which was nice.

Comfortable stay with friendly staff
We had a nice weekend, but our room was a bit of a letdown. It had some cleanliness issues that made it hard to relax. On the bright side, the staff was super friendly, and we loved the cozy breakfast spot. Just a shame the kitchen was closed when we got there.

The welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made for an enjoyable experience, although parking was limited, forcing us to use the nearby paid car park. The room was clean and cozy, but it could have used a bit more attention to detail, like restocking tea bags and a tidier touch on the last day.

missingWrote a review on 22 Junscenic viewsboot roomsmall room
Scenic views through the large windows in the Deluxe King Room made mornings bright. The boot room provided a practical spot for gear after outdoor excursions, adding a touch of thoughtfulness to the stay.
The photos of the Deluxe King Room overstate its size—it's noticeably smaller in person. The TV malfunctioned in two rooms, which was frustrating for downtime. Steep stairs can be tricky and may not suit everyone, especially after a long day of hiking. Parking is a hassle with limited spots, forcing a reliance on time-restricted street parking. Breakfast missed the mark with cold items, and there's an inadequate setup for enjoying hot beverages due to the cold cups provided.

Just a top selection for a weekend adventure in Grasmere with good value for money. The breakfast was of great quality with fresh ingredients. Consider choosing a room that fits your bed preference.
